AWHUM CAVE AND WATERFALL

  1. Awhum Cave and Waterfall:
Awhum waterfall is located within Amaugwe village of Awhum town close to Awhum Monastery in Udi Local Government Area. The waterfall flows from a massive outcrop of granite rock with water cascading over the top forming a stream. The fall is about 30 metres high and is believed to be therapeutic.  Surrounded by a breath-taking scenery, a part of the fall is warm all year round and a variety of bird species can be spotted within the area.

BILIKISU SUNGBO SHRINE

BILIKISU SUNGBO SHRINE Located in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, the Bilikisu Sungbo Shrine is a set of walls built for defense and also to unite the different tribes in that region. It was built in 800 – 1000 AD in honour of the noble woman, Oloye Bilikisu Sungbo. The walls are currently covered with moss and locals go there to pay homage to her heritage by visiting this shrine.
